Then the governor 's soldiers took Jesus into the Praetorium and gathered the whole company of soldiers around him .

And the soldiers led him away into the hall , called Praetorium ; and they call together the whole band .

Every ten yards or so , a soldier in full battle dress stood beside the wall or paced slowly back and forth , holding his rifle .
