场景1（背景是示巴女王宫殿中的一个房间。女王坐在房间一端的一把椅子上。萨拉站在椅子的一侧。阿姆兰正在向女王展示一些丝绸。）

Scene 1 （ The setting is a room in the palace of the Queen of Sheba ． The Queen sits at one end of the room on a chair ． Zahrah stands on one side of the chair ． Amram is showing some silks to the Queen ．）

They are children of the queen of Sheba and solomon .

Through the efforts of his mother , Bathsheba , and the prophet Nathan , Solomon was anointed king while David was still alive .

And bath-sheba said , good ! I will make your request to the king .

2于是以色列人都离开大卫，跟随比基利的儿子示巴。

So all the men of Israel deserted David to follow Sheba son of bicri .

为甚么神在艾萨克到别示巴的那一夜向他显现呢？

Why did it come to Isaac in the night on which he reached Beer-sheba ?

当示巴女王拜访所罗门时，她为所罗门的智慧和财富而感到震惊。

Queen of Sheba visits King Solomon and she is impressed with his wisdom and wealth .

I think of how after all his sins , David still took Bathsheba as his wife .

And finally , when her husband is dead , he takes Bathsheba as his own wife .

So she said , 'Let Abishag the Shunammite be given in marriage to your brother Adonijah . '

拔示巴说，我有一件小事求你，望你不要推辞。

I have one small request to make of you , 'she said . 'Do not refuse me . '

他们便割下比基利的儿子示巴的首级，丢给约押。

And they cut off the head of Sheba the son of Bichri , and cast it out to Joab .

在那里恰有一个卑劣之徒，名叫示巴，是便雅悯人比基利的儿子。

Now there was a worthless fellow there whose name was sheba , the son of bichri , a benjaminite .

拔示巴进入内室见王，王甚老迈，书念的童女亚比煞正伺候王。

So Bathsheba went to see the aged king in his room , where Abishag the Shunammite was attending him .

有人说，她是以连的女儿，赫人乌利亚的妻拔示巴。

And one said , Is not this Bathsheba , the daughter of Eliam , the wife of Uriah the Hittite ?

他就给那井起名叫示巴。因此那城叫作别是巴，直到今日。

And he gave it the name of shibah : so the name of that town is Beer-sheba to this day .

示巴女王听见所罗门的名声，就来到耶路撒冷，要用难解的话试问所罗门。

When the queen of Sheba heard of Solomon 's fame , she came to Jerusalem to test him with hard questions .

尸身从路上挪移之后、众民就都跟随约押、去追赶比基利的儿子示巴。

After Amasa had been removed from the road , all the men went on with Joab to pursue Sheba son of bicri .
