利用这个结论，提出了一种新型的第2个反向行波识别方法。

With this conclusion , a new approach is proposed to identify the second reverse traveling wave .

当保护正向故障时，电压正向行波小于反向行波；而反向故障时，电压正向行波大于反向行波。

For a forward fault , the magnitude of forward voltage travelling wave is less than reverse wave , and for a reverse fault , the magnitude of forward wave is greater than reverse wave .

本文利用这两个特征，提出了基于正反向行波能量之比和正向电压行波初始极性的故障选线新判据。

According to those two characteristics , this paper proposes new criterion of fault line selection based on the ratio of the forward and backward traveling wave energy and the forward voltage traveling wave polarity .
