迦勒挪岂不像迦基米施吗。哈马岂不像亚珥拔吗。撒玛利亚岂不像大马士革吗。

Is not calno as carchemish ? Is not Hamath as arpad ? Is not Samaria as damascus ?

玛拿西的子孙睚珥占了亚珥歌伯全境，直到基述人和玛迦人的交界，就按自己的名称这巴珊地为哈倭特睚珥，直到今日。

Jair , a descendant of Manasseh , took the whole region of Argob as far as the border of the Geshurites and the Maacathites ;

哈马和亚珥拔的神在哪里呢？西法瓦音的神在哪里呢？他们曾拯救撒玛利亚脱离我的手吗？

Where are the gods of Hamath and Arphad ? where are the gods of Sepharvaim ? and have they delivered Samaria out of my hand ?

哈马的王、亚珥拔的王、西法瓦音城的王、希拿和以瓦的王都在哪里呢。

Where is the king of hamath , and the king of arpad , and the king of the town of sepharvaim , of Hena and of ivvah ?

哈马和亚珥拔蒙羞，因他们听见凶恶的信息就消化了。海上有忧愁，不得平静。

Hamath is confounded , and Arpad : for they have heard evil tidings : they are fainthearted ; there is sorrow on the sea ; it cannot be quiet .

就如住西珥的以扫子孙和住亚珥的摩押人待我一样，等我过了约旦河，好进入耶和华我们神所赐给我们的地。

From Aroer on the edge of the valley of the Arnon and from the town in the valley as far as gilead , no town was strong enough to keep us out ; the Lord our God gave them all into our hands .
