Cornelius had a burden for both his loved ones and friends ( v24 ) . He called them all together to hear Peter .

It would seem he may have been like Cornelius , a man who knew the God of the Jews but had not yet met Christ .

7When the angel who spoke to him had gone , Cornelius called two of his servants and a devout soldier who was one of his attendants .

Peter came to understand what the Lord was saying to him and when he was asked , he readily went north with the Gentile messengers to Cornelius'home .

So finally Peter is forced to take the message to Gentiles , by God , by revelation , and then you have the story of the baptism of Cornelius and his house the first Gentile converts .

Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean , behold , the men which were sent from Cornelius had made enquiry for Simon 's house , and stood before the gate

他们说、百夫长哥尼流是个义人、敬畏神、为犹太通国所称赞、他蒙一位圣天使指示、叫他请你到他家里去、听你的话。

And they said , cornelius , a captain , an upright and God-fearing man , respected by all the nation of the jews , had word from God by an angel to send for you to his house , and to give hearing to your words .
