摩西听见这话就逃走了，寄居于米甸。在那里生了两个儿子。

Then fled Moses at this saying , and was a stranger in the land of Madian , where he begat two sons .

捉住了米甸人的两个首领，一名俄立，一名西伊伯。

They also captured two of the Midianite leaders , Oreb and Zeeb .

当他们坐下吃饭的时候，举目观看，见有一夥米甸的商人和他们的骆驼队。

It was a caravan of camels and traders from Midian .

They set out from Midian and went to Paran .

Now the camp of Midian lay below him in the valley .

God has given the Midianites and the whole camp into his hands .

The multitude of camels shall cover thee , the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah ;

这样，米甸人被以色列人制伏了，不敢再抬头。

Thus Midian was subdued before the Israelites and did not raise its head again .

现在他却丢弃我们，将我们交在米甸人手里。

But now the LORD has abandoned us and put us into the hand of Midian .

他们就照耶和华所吩咐摩西的，与米甸人打仗，杀了所有的男丁。

They fought against Midian , as the Lord commanded Moses , and killed every man .

The camp of Midian was north of them in the valley near the hill of Moreh .

Avenge the children of Israel of the Midianites : afterward shalt thou be gathered unto thy people .

I saw the tents of Cushan in affliction : and the curtains of the land of Midian did tremble .

The Midianites , the Amalekites and all the other eastern peoples had settled in the valley , thick as locusts .

又追赶米甸人，将俄立和西伊伯的首级带过约旦河，到基甸那里。

They pursued the Midianites and brought the heads of Oreb and Zeeb to Gideon , who was by the Jordan .

米甸人带约瑟到埃及，把他卖给法老的内臣，护卫长波提乏。

Meanwhile , the Midianites sold Joseph in Egypt to Potiphar , one of Pharaoh 's officials , the captain of the guard .

Because the power of Midian was so oppressive , the Israelites prepared shelters for themselves in mountain clefts , caves and strongholds .

Now all the Midianites , Amalekites and other eastern peoples joined forces and crossed over the Jordan and camped in the Valley of Jezreel .

It begins with the Israelies being so grateful to Gideon for delivering them from bondage to Midian , they wanted to make him their king .

Moses had defeated him and the Midianite chiefs , Evi , Rekem , Zur , Hur and Reba princes allied with Sihon who lived in that country .

当法老得知此事，便要处死摩西。可是摩西早已逃之夭夭，在米甸那地方住下来。

When Pharaoh heard of it , he tried to put Moses to death , but Moses made good his escape and settled in the land of Midian .

耶和华在米甸对摩西说，你要回埃及去，因为寻索你命的人都死了。

And the LORD said to Moses in midian , go back to egypt , for all the men are dead who were attempting to take your life .

耶和华对他说，我与你同在，你就必击打米甸人，如击打一人一样。

Then the LORD said to him , truly , I will be with you , and you will overcome the Midianites as if they were one man .

以色列人对基甸说：“你既救我们脱离米甸人的手，愿你和你的儿孙管理我们。”

The Israelites said to Gideon ," Rule over us you , your son and your grandson because you have saved us out of the hand of Midian . "

以色列人就从拿弗他利，亚设，和玛拿西全地聚集来追赶米甸人。

And the men of Israel gathered themselves together out of naphtali , and out of asher , and out of all manasseh , and pursued after the midianites .

赛9：4因为他们所负的重轭、肩头上的杖、欺压他们人的棍、都已经折断、像在米甸的日子一样。

For thou hast broken the yoke of his burden , and the staff of his shoulder , the rod of his oppressor , as in the day of Midian .

摩西来到米甸这个地方，他在井旁坐下休息，这时，有七个姐妹，她们来打水，要喂她们父亲的羊。

Moses came to the land of Midian and sat down to rest by a well , just as a group of 7 sisters came to water their father 's sheep .

摩西吩咐百姓说，要从你们中间叫人带兵器出去攻击米甸，好在米甸人身上为耶和华报仇。

And Moses spake unto the people , saying , Arm some of yourselves unto the war , and let them go against the Midianites , and avenge the LORD of Midian .
