于是迦勒率领示剑人出去，与亚比米勒交战。

So Gaal led out the citizens of Shechem and fought Abimelech .

亚比米勒管理以色列人三年。

So Abimelech was chief over Israel for three years .

以色列人见亚比米勒死了，便各回自己的地方去了。

When the Israelites saw that Abimelech was dead , they went home .

迦勒又对亚比米勒说，增添你的军兵出来吧。

And he said to Abimelech , Increase thine army , and come out .

亚比米勒到提备斯，向提备斯安营，就攻取了那城。

Then went Abimelech to Thebez , and encamped against Thebez , and took it .

亚比米勒是个好王。

Abimelech was a righteous king .

我们为何服事亚比米勒呢？

Why should we serve Abimelech ?

惟愿这民归我的手下，我就除掉亚比米勒。

And would to God this people were under my hand ! then would I remove Abimelech .

亚比米勒又对亚伯拉罕说，你见了什么才作这事呢。

And Abimelech said unto abraham , what sawest thou , that thou hast done this thing ?

亚比米勒对以撒说，你离开我们去吧。因为你比我们强盛得多。

And Abimelech said unto Isaac , Go from us ; for thou art much mightier than we .

神使恶魔降在亚比米勒和示剑人中间，示剑人就以诡诈待亚比米勒。

God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the citizens of Shechem , who acted treacherously against Abimelech .

亚比米勒和跟随他的一队向前闯去，站在城门口。

Abimelech and the companies with him rushed forward to a position at the entrance to the city gate .

亚比米勒问亚伯拉罕说，你把这七只母羊羔另放在一处，是什么意思呢。

And Abimelech said unto abraham , what mean these seven ewe lambs which thou hast set by themselves ?

因耶和华为亚伯拉罕的妻子撒拉的缘故，已经使亚比米勒家中的妇人不能生育。

For the Lord had closed up every womb in Abimelech 's household because of Abraham 's wife Sarah .

有人告诉亚比米勒说，示剑楼的人都聚在一处。

And it was told Abimelech , that all the men of the tower of Shechem were gathered together .

他的妾住在示剑，也给他生了一个儿子。基甸与他起名叫亚比米勒。

His concubine , who lived in Shechem , also bore him a son , whom he named Abimelech .

众人就各砍一枝，跟随亚比米勒，把树枝堆在卫所的四围，放火烧了卫所，以致示剑楼的人都死了，男女约有一千。

So all the people in the tower of Shechem , about a thousand men and women , also died .

从前，亚比米勒的仆人霸占了一口水井，亚伯拉罕为这事指责亚比米勒。

And Abraham reproved Abimelech because of a well of water , which Abimelech 's servants had violently taken away .

亚伯拉罕把羊和牛给了亚比米勒，二人就彼此立约。

So Abraham brought sheep and cattle and gave them to Abimelech , and the two men made a treaty .

约坦因怕他弟兄亚比米勒，就逃跑，来到比珥，住在那里。

Then Jotham straight away went in flight to Beer , and was living there for fear of his brother abimelech .

亚比米勒把牛羊、仆婢赐给亚伯拉罕、又把他的妻子撒拉归还他。

Then Abimelech gave to Abraham sheep and oxen and men-servants and women-servants , and gave him back his wife sarah .

有一个妇人把一块上磨石抛在亚比米勒的头上，打破了他的脑骨。

And a certain woman cast a piece of a millstone upon Abimelech 's head , and all to brake his skull .

亚比米勒却还没有亲近撒拉。他说，主阿，连有义的国，你也要毁灭吗。

But Abimelech had not come near her : and he said , lord , wilt thou slay also a righteous nation ?

亚比米勒又说，看哪，我的地都在你面前，你可以随意居

" And Abimelech said , see , all my land is before you ; take whatever place seems good to you . "

亚比米勒住在亚鲁玛。西布勒赶出迦勒和他弟兄，不准他们住在示剑。

And Abimelech dwelt at Arumah : and Zebul thrust out Gaal and his brethren , that they should not dwell in Shechem .

次日，民出到田间，有人告诉亚比米勒。

And it came to pass on the morrow , that the people went out into the field ; and they told Abimelech .

不然，愿火从亚比米勒发出，烧灭示剑人和米罗众人；

But if not , let fire come out from Abimelech , and devour the men of Shechem , and the house of Millo ;

亚伯拉罕在这里掘了一口井，作为跟亚比米勒起誓的记号（参21：31）。

Beer-sheba A well was dug here as a sign of an oath between Abraham and the army of King Abimelech ( 21:31 ) .

亚伯拉罕祷告神，神就医好了亚比米勒和他的妻子，并他的众女仆，她们便能生育。

So Abraham prayed unto God : and God healed Abimelech , and his wife , and his maidservants ; and they bare children .

于是亚比米勒晓谕众民说：“凡沾着这个人，或是他妻子的，定要把他治死。”

So Abimelech gave orders to all the people : " Anyone who molests this man or his wife shall surely be put to death . "
