Ever since the Institute for Research in Chinese Architecture ( IRCA ) began to survey Liao architecture in1932 , the history of Chinese architecture has entered the phase of scientific research .

The action aims at not only the succeeding the scholarship of Chinese Construction Society but also the traditional technology and craftworks research on wooden structure , as well as the protection of the non-material cultural heritages .
