Samples of 14 species of marine fish collected from waters nearby the Nanshan Island , Donghai Island and Naozhou Island of Guangzhou Bay were analysed for total petroleum hydrocarbon content which ranges from 7.20 to 52.9 μ g / g , averaging 15.0 μ g / g.
