为了消灭阳山县丝虫病，从1959年起对该县进行丝虫病流行病学摸底调查，发现共有19个乡镇的217个管理区有班氏丝虫病流行，平均人群微丝蚴率为435%。

This paper reported the control strategy and technical measures of elimination of filariasis in Yangshan county . 217 villages in 19 towns had bancroftian filariasis prevalence and the average population microfilarial rate was 4.35 % .

结果经过反复查治，阳山县微丝蚴率从防治前的4.35%降至0.12%，1980年达到基本消除丝虫病标准，1996年经广东省卫生厅组织评审，确认全县范围已阻断丝虫病传播，达到了消除丝虫病标准。

Results In 1980 , the filariasis have been basic eliminated in Yangshan County , the microfilaria rate have been come down to 0.12 % from 4.35 % before control . In 1996 , the assessment for elimination of filariasis was carried out organized by Guangdong Provincial Bureau of Health .
