民间主要用于黄疸性肝炎、肾炎水肿、感冒高热、出血吐血等病症的治疗，在《福建民间草药》中称作为栀子花根[2]。
The folk mainly uses it in the icteric hepatitis , nephritis dropsy , cold high fever , the hemorrhage spits blood and so on . It is called as in " the Fujian Folk Herbal medicine " for the gardenia root .
