    Methods 56 patients with hepatitis B hospitalized from 2000 ~ 2003 were treated with interferon α for 6 months , the peripheral blood T lymphocyte subsets and hepatic fibrosis indexes were checked before interferon α treatment and in the 3rd month of treatment .
