Methods Twenty-eight patients with medically intractable temporal epilepsy were recruited in the study and the epileptic foci were determined by such examinations as conventional EEG ( including sphenoid electrode ), Video-EEG , MRI , single photon emission computed tomography ( SPECT ), and position emission tomography ( PET ) .

结果表明:34例患者均见到rCBF减少,其中30例呈局灶性改变,可作出定位诊断,癫痫病灶的检出率为88.24%(30/40),显著优于CT、头皮电极EEG和蝶骨电极EEG描记。
The result showed that there were focal rCBF decreases in 30 of 34 patients and the detecting rate of epileptic focus was 88 . 24 % . Compared with CT and scalp or sphenoid electrode EEG , rCBF SPECT showed more advantage for discovering the abnormalities in the epileptics .
