重庆石柱中三叠统巴东组有3种主要岩相类型：①紫红、灰绿色泥页岩，②褐黄、紫红、灰褐色岩屑石英砂岩，③浅灰色碳酸盐岩；
Three types of lithofacies are recognized for the Middle Triassic Badong Formation in Shizhu , Chongqing , including : ① purplish red and grayish green mudstone and shale ; ② brownish yellow , purplish red and grayish brown lithic quartz sandstone , and ③ light grey carbonate rocks .

化石标本采自于陕西铜川中三叠世铜川组下段上部的灰绿色泥岩和页岩。
The specimen was collected from the grayish-green mudstone and shale of the Upper part , the Lower Member of the Middle Triassic Tongchuan Formation ( Tr2t ), Tongchuan region , Shaanxi Province , China .
