Investigation on Birth Defects of Uygur Children under 5 Years Old in Yining County

目的：了解伊宁县农村的5岁以下维吾尔族儿童通过肉眼观察即可诊断的出生缺陷的分布情况，探索可能的影响因素。

Objective : It is to learn the distribution and influential factors of birth defects of Uygur children under 5 years old in Yining County .

进入新世纪以来伊宁县经济社会发展步伐加快，农牧业已然成为伊宁县的主导产业和经济增长的主要突破点。

Yining County has accelerated the step of economic and social development since the new century , agriculture and animal husbandry has become the leading industry and the major breakthrough of economic growth in Yining County .

方法1999～2001年在伊宁等7县（市）共血检当地居民发热病人4087人，平均血检率为1.46%，血片阳性率为0.12%。

Method Approximately 4 087 local people with fever were examined by blood in seven cities / counties for three years from 1999 to 2001 . The average blood examination rate was 1.46 % , and the smear positive rate ( SPR ) was 0.12 % .
