The high nitrogen energetic compound 3,3 ′ - azobis ( 6-amino-1,2,4,5-tetrazine ) was synthesized from guanidine nitrate and hydrazine hydrate by a seven-step reaction . The structure was characterized by ~ 1H NMR , ~ ( 13 ) C NMR , IR and elemental analysis .
